coast range heliskiing Safety

Every year at Coast Range Heliskiing we begin with a thorough and intensive pre-season training program for our guides and staff. From practice rescue scenarios to operational safety, from helicopter procedures to communicational planning, our team goes through every fine detail.

All our guides have prior training and certification through organizations such as the ACMG (Association of Canadian Mountain Guides), Canadian Avalanche Association as well as being trained and certified with current first aid tickets.

Our guides meet each morning and at the end of the day to discuss weather, snow stability and terrain observations and analysis. This information then provides the basis and dynamics to plan and co-ordinate our heli-ski program and field operations.
